Οι νικητές των The Game Awards 2015

Διακρίσεις για Metal Gear Solid V, Super Mario Maker και Witcher 3.

Μετά από ένα δίωρο περίπου σε διάρκεια event, έγιναν γνωστοί οι νικητές των φετινών The Game Awards που έλαβαν χώρα στο Los Angeles, με οικοδεσπότη τον Geoff Keighley. Ανάμεσα στα παιχνίδια που ξεχώρισαν ήταν το Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain ως το καλύτερο action/adventure, το Mortal Kombat ως το καλύτερο fighting, το Her Story για την καλύτερη εξιστόρηση, το Life is Strange στην κατηγορία Games for Change, το Super Mario Maker ως το καλύτερο οικογενειακό παιχνίδι, το Ori and the Blind Forest για το art direction του, καθώς και το Rocket League ως το καλύτερο παιχνίδι από ανεξάρτητη ομάδα.

Επίσης, ως καλύτερος developer αναδείχθηκε η CD Projekt RED, ενώ βραβεύθηκαν επίσης, κατά την διάρκεια του event, οι ιδρυτές της Westwood Studios, Brett Sperry και Louis Castle. Επιπλέον, διάκριση έλαβε και το Splatoon για το καλύτερο multiplayer gameplay, ως ο πιο αναμενόμενος τίτλος αναδείχθηκε το No Man’s Sky, ενώ ως καλύτερο παιχνίδι βραβεύθηκε το The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. Η απονομή των βραβείων ολοκληρώθηκε με μια σύντομη παράσταση από τον Deadmau5, με ένα μίγμα από μουσικά θέματα από διάφορους τίτλους.
