Το εξαιρετικό Portal 2 της Valve απέσπασε τελικά τον πολυπόθητο τίτλο "Ultimate Game of the Year" στα φετινά Golden Joysticks, αφήνοντας πίσω του παιχνίδια όπως τα FIFA 11, LA Noire και StarCraft II. Στη λίστα των νικητών συμπεριλαμβάνονται και τα FIFA 11, Call of Duty: Black Ops και Gran Turismo 5, μιας και αναδείχθηκαν καλύτερα Sports Game, Shooter και Racing Game αντίστοιχα.
